The design outlook draws a local atmosphere to give a familiar feeling of home, warmth and comfort. It portrays a representation of a place for the people today as contemporary become a stylish adaptation of culture and lifestyle.
The tropical climate of Lanjut allows green building to be applicable through elements of tropical architecture and its design language. The traditional features of large roof overhangs help to reduce solar gain as well as act as shading devices and protection against rainfall. Large openings and balconies creates an open air atmosphere where it gives off a cooling effect.
As the tropics are known for its vernacular lifestyle, the use of sliding doors, corridors and walkways allow the spaces to be ventilated naturally hence minimising the use of energy. The design provides a continuous air movement that compliments the climate of tropical humidity.
The trees surrounding the site provide a fair amount of shade and a beautiful landscape. Contemporary architecture is altered to respond towards the environment. As it becomes a growing design in its own environment, it is essential that we obtain an optimal composition of air to be energy efficient. The hotel and villas are designed to be a part of Lanjut and its Mother Nature. It rejuvenates Lanjut as a place and enhances the beauty of nature.
Stretching along the East-Coast border of Malaysia, the idea was to encapsulate the tropics into the design. It is essential to let the guests experience the natural surrounding within our compound. A balance between nature and architecture stands as our principle of design to hamonise our idea and Lanjut’s lush tropical rainforests.
The Design Concept is a blend of local culture and tradition. The fusion of these reflects the people of Pahang and Lanjut as a place. With the sight of a beautiful ocean, designing within the given context has become our priority in our approach.
The 200 rooms Hotel and 6 unit Villas connotes a traditional outlook with a contemporary style of living. A Balinese concept is adapted in the designs of the 6 unit villas in terms of its spatial layout and organisation. There are various sizes and types of guest rooms and villas to cater towards the guests’ preferences and lifestyle.
Designed for the modern clad society, the internal courtyard with Tropical contemporary concept enhances the guests’ experience with its landscape far from the city. While guests engage with the surrounding, the courtyards provide natural ventilation and day lighting.
