The site measuring approximately 8.3 acres is located in Kota Damansara, a new township located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. Our client Giant, one of 4 leading hypermarkets provider in Malaysia, is building one of the largest hypermarket mall in Malaysia. The total built up area not including the parking level is approximately 500,000 sq ft or 43,935 m².

In order to comply with the design brief, the hypermarket is elevated with its parking floors located at the ground floor. The trading area; i.e. its hypermarket is approximately 90,000 sq ft (with a mezzanine floor). The remaining built up area is provided for the shopping mall retail shops at the parking level and hypermarket level.

As the hypermarket is located next to a busy highway, we designed to express the facade of the mall using glass with clean modern lines. The corporate colours are used on the facade of the building in order for it to be identifiable from a distance.
