The Muhammadi Mosque, considered as the state mosque, has continuously played an active role of the Muslim community in Kota Bharu, teaching both the young and older generations the ways of Islamic living as well as a venue for Muslims to meet one another on religious occasions. There are plans to fully utilize its potential and elevate lives and condition of Muslims living in the state.
Some of its potential is to make:
- The Mosque used as a Comunity Center
- The Mosque as a place of Education
- The Mosque as a Place of Worship
The mosque is the most important instution in Islam after home and the workplace. It is the most frequented place. Muslims visit it at least twice, if not three or five times, a day. There, they rekindle their spirituality, strengthen their relationship with their Creator, meet their Muslim brethren, and renew their sense of belonging and faith.
