    Ar. Hjh. Sateerah Hassan received her Diploma in Architecture from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) in 1993. After working for 2 years as Assistant Architect at Rashid Kader Arkitek and SN Low Chartered Architects, she decided to pursue for LAM Part II locally and completed her Bachelor in Architecture in 1998 at UiTM, Shah Alam.

    As a graduate architect, she accumulated additional experience at Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) and Perbadanan Putrajaya, where she dedicated almost 15 years to her professional growth. Her extensive journey in the field eventually led her to Taylor’s University, where she continued to share the knowledge and experiences gained throughout her career.

    She was a member of the Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Government Liaison Committee of PAM in 2011 and has been involved in several events organized by PAM.
  1. Ar. Shafik Kamarulzaman
    Shafik bin Kamarulzaman is the principal of ShafikZaman Architect established in 2015. Born in 1970 in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, he moved to Kuala Lumpur with his family in 1974. He spent his formative years in St. John’s Institution, KL from 1976 to 1987. In 1986 he placed first in the National Schools Art Competition held jointly by the National Art Gallery and Malayan Nature Society. From 1987 to 1988 he interned at Toei Animation in Brickfields, KL as apprentice animator. In 1988 he obtained a scholarship to pursue his tertiary education abroad.

    He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture degree with honours and a Bachelor of Architecture degree with honours in 1993 and 1996 respectively from the Liverpool School of Architecture, University of Liverpool, UK. He was a member of the organising committee for the Liverpool School of Architecture Centenary Exhibition in 1995 officiated by HRH Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon. He was awarded the Sikorski Memorial Prize for his thesis project in 1996.

    In 2002, he obtained his Part 3 professional licence from Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) and was subsequently elected corporate member of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) in 2003. He was PAM Council member for 2 terms in 2021/22 and 2022/23. Prior to establishing his own practice, he spent 4 years at Kumpulan Senireka Architects Sdn Bhd, a year at RSP Architects Sdn Bhd and 15 years at GDP Architects Sdn Bhd where he was director his last 8 years there. To date, he has completed many notable and sizeable projects locally and abroad with many obtaining commendations and awards.
  1. Ar. Muhammad Qhawarizmi bin Norhisham
    Qhawarizmi is a firm believer in the continuous discipline of honing the craft of design thinking. He was trained in Architecture at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), University of Technology Sydney (UTS), The AEDES Metropolitan Laboratory Berlin, and Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI)

    He runs multiple practices, as Principal of Qhawarizmi Architect, Director of Praktika Architects Sdn. Bhd. , and Partner of a research think tank, Manifesto of Design and Research in Architecture (MDRXA). In his academic career, he has lectured for a collective eight years at UiTM, Taylor’s University and UCSI University.

    With over 40 awards under his belt, he is an award-winning architect, and currently serving as PAM’s Council Member and Malaysian Representative in ARCASIA Committee on Young Architects (ACYA). A recipient of Khazanah Design Residency, PAM Chan Sau Lai Award, and PAM Johnson Suisse Scholarship Award, among others.
  1. Ar. Dr Lim Teng Ngiom
    Architect with conscience, weary about the going-on(s) in the world and by observation, believe that we are at the threshold of civilizational shift. Experienced and seen it all in architecture, got some awards and won some competitions, but in the bigger scheme of things, architecture is not the most important thing. When younger, we could say “Carpe Diem, seize the day, make your lives extraordinary”. Now older, I would say, “Twas always thus, and always will be”.
