In the thriving neighbourhood area of Kota Damansara in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, as part of a design proposed as part of a design proposed exercise, a new mixed development was proposed by ATSA Architects for the client. Known as the Green Haven, it is situated on Lot 50202 of 9.46 acres of land at Persiaran Mahogani.

The proposed mixed development will complement the existing matured and bustling development area of Kota Damansara. Neighbouring with many residential estates, such as De Rozelle and Palma Puteri, the site is also located on the fringe of the only green belt area of Kota Damansara, the Kota Damansara Community Forest Park, a pristine forest reserve.

The interplay of vertical and horizontal elements makes up most of the façade design. The three blocks of service apartment and a block of office tower are heightened with a strong vertical planar in the middle. The canted façade of the service apartment blocks act as a self-shading façade against the solar orientation without further needs of any shading devices.

Apart from the service apartment and office tower, the development consisting of four-storey shop office with a central boulevard, two storey sports centre, covered plaza with sub basement car parks with a unique green roof located above the shop office. The proposed green roof will add more green footprint on the development; that would further reduce the heat and stormwater runoff, along with filtering pollutants and insulate the building against any sound penetration.
